Requirements and benefits of Structured Family Caregiving Program:

• The participant must be eligible for Medicaid.
• The participant needs assistance with daily activities.
• Both the caregiver and the Medicaid participant must reside in Indiana.
• The Caregiver receives a non-taxable daily stipend.
• The Caregiver is required to live with the Medicaid participant.

Benefits: The Medicaid participant benefit from receiving 24-hour supervised assistance at home from a friend, spouse, or family member. This program allows caregivers to be compensated at a daily rate allowing the caregiver to provide care without financial worries. Caregivers receive 15 days of respite care a year to allow the caregiver to take a break.

Attendant care is a service for people of all ages and cognitive levels who need assistance with daily activities such as bathing, grooming dressing, toileting, oral care, companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation and planning, medication reminders, transportation, mobility assistance /transfers and Alzheimer’s and Dementia care.

• The participant must be eligible for Medicaid.
• The participant needs assistance with daily activities.
• Both the caregiver and the Medicaid participant must reside in Indiana.
• The Caregiver’s income is taxable and paid at an hourly rate.
• The Caregiver is not required to live with the Medicaid participant.

Benefits: Care recipients benefit from receiving care at home by our staff, a friend, or a family member. Caregivers cannot be parents of minor children, spouses, or legal guardians.
